Groups for the Symphony

When our Director of Music Christian Hendricks isn’t working at Trinity seeing to the music, he’s at the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra seeing to the tickets in the box office. Considering the amazing slate of pieces this season, he invites members of Trinity and friends to join him in attending several concerts throughout the year. While any of them would be wonderful to hear, there are a few which have religious or spiritual music that might have a particular interest:

– October 21 & 22: features Poulenc’s Stabat Mater and the final scene from Dialogues of the Carmelites
– December 2, 3, & 4: Handel’s Messiah—the whole shebang
– Oodles of holiday concerts in December
– February 10 & 11: features Rimsky-Korsakov’s Russian Easter Overture and music by James MacMillan, a Scottish composer whose Catholic faith permeates many of his works
-…and potentially more!

Group discounts require a minimum of 10 people, but Christian might be able to manage something similar for smaller groups. Stay alert for further updates, but please contact him at christian.hendricks@trinityucity.org for any related questions.
